Het FAGG benadrukt dat hetzelfde rotavirusvaccin moet gebruikt worden voor het volledige vaccinatieschema. Het vaccinatieschema is voor de twee vaccins verschillend (voor Rotarix\u00ae in totaal 2 doses met een interval van minstens 4 weken; voor Rotateq\u00ae in totaal 3 doses met intervallen van minstens 4 weken). Daarenboven ontbreken gegevens over immuniteit&#x002C; bescherming of veiligheid wanneer een schema niet met hetzelfde vaccin is afgewerkt.
