Geen bewezen voordeel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Het BCFI ontving de vraag of het zinvol is om profylactisch paracetamol of andere antipyretica toe te dienen v\u00f3\u00f3r of op het ogenblik van de vaccinatie tegen COVID-19&#x002C; ter preventie van post-vaccinale symptomen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Preventief toedienen van antipyretica heeft geen bewezen meerwaarde ten opzichte van het geven bij klachten. Het antipyretisch effect treedt snel op na het innemen en de winst is enkel symptomatisch. Het is dan ook de pati\u00ebnt die oordeelt of hij dit nodig acht.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>In een studie bij kinderen (<em>The Lancet<\/em>&#x002C; 2009<span class='folia-referentie-note'><strong><sup>1<\/sup><\/strong><\/span>) verminderde profylactische toediening van paracetamol de antilichaamrespons op bepaalde vaccins (10-valent pneumokokkenvaccin&#x002C; hexavalent vaccin).<strong><span class='folia-referentie-note'><sup>1<\/sup><\/span> <\/strong><em>The green book<\/em> (UK)<span class='folia-referentie-note'><strong><sup>2<\/sup><\/strong><\/span> besluit op basis van deze studie dat routinematige profylactische toediening van antipyretica zoals paracetamol en ibuprofen rond het ogenblik van vaccinatie niet aangewezen is.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>De Amerikaanse <em>Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/em> (CDC) meldt voor Comirnaty\u00ae&#x002C; COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna\u00ae en Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine\u00ae dat het effect op de antilichaamrespons van antipyreticatoediening rond het ogenblik van vaccinatie nog niet gekend is&#x002C; en raadt routinematige profylactische toediening af.<span class='folia-referentie-note'><strong><sup>3<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>In <em>The green book<\/em> (UK) wordt voor COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca\u00ae gemeld dat profylactische toediening van paracetamol de immuunrespons op het vaccin niet be\u00efnvloedt.<span class='folia-referentie-note'><strong><sup>4<\/sup><\/strong><\/span> Dit laatste betekent echter niet dat er enig voordeel te verwachten is van profylactische toediening.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/> Bij optreden van koorts of hoofdpijn na de vaccinatie kan wel een antipyreticum worden gebruikt: paracetamol is daarbij de eerste keuze; ibuprofen of acetylsalicylzuur zijn geen eerstekeuzepreparaten [zie <a href='https:\/\/www.bcfi.be\/nl\/chapters\/9?frag=6403'>Repertorium&#x002C; hoofdstuk 8.1.<\/a>].<br \/> \u00a0<br \/> <strong>Nota<\/strong>: voor al onze artikels in verband met geneesmiddelen bij COVID-19: zie onze website \u201c<a href='https:\/\/www.bcfi.be\/nl\/gows\/3334'>COVID-19 update<\/a>\u201d\u00a0<br \/> \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Specifieke bronnen<\/h2>\n<div class='reference'><span class='folia-referentie-tekst'>1.\u00a0 Prymula R&#x002C; Siegrist C-A et al.
